A total of nine players from Wood County earned first-team All-District 7 basketball honors.
On the boys’ side, Bowling Green’s Vitto Brown (Division II), Eastwood’s Cody Jennings (Division II),
Lake’s Ra’Shad Smith (Division III) and Elmwood’s Tyler Rosendale (Division III) were each named to the
first team.
For the girls, Perrysburg’s Kelsea Newman (Division I), Rossford’s Alaina Mitchell (Division II),
Elmwood’s Sierra Beckford (Division III), Lake’s Hannah Cox (Division III) and Otsego’s Hannah Greulich
(Division III) all earned first-team honors.
The teams are selected based on voting by coaches in each division.
Earning second-team honors for the boys were: Division I – Perrysburg’s Scott Milne; Division II –
Bowling Green’s Tyler Dunn; Eastwood’s Jacob Faykosh; Otsego’s Ryan Smoyer and A.C. Limes; and
Rossford’s Larry Sloan and Manny Durden; and Division III – Lake’s Josh Tantari.
Earning second-team honors for the girls were: Division I – Bowling Green’s Hayley Williford and Jenna
Stoner; Division II – Eastwood’s Courtney Rolf; and Rossford’s Julie Hotz and Courtney Morris; and
Division IV – North Baltimore’s Jessica Frost.
The following boys earned honorable mention: Division I – Perrysburg’s Jake Pfleghaar, Shane Edwards, and
Bryant Byrd; Division II – Bowling Green’s Nolan Dill and LaMonta’ Stone; Eastwood’s Jacob Schmeltz and
Caleb Vespi; and Rossford’s Drew Brock; Division III – Elmwood’s Max Zyski and Zach Foster; Lake’s
Connor Bowen; and Lakota’s Nick McDole and Kody Brewer; and Division IV – North Baltimore’s Evan North
and Jacob Frost; and Northwood’s Evan Perkins.
The following girls earned honorable mention: Division I – Bowling Green’s Chelsey Morlock and Haley
Glandorff; Perrysburg – Taylor Knight and Sarah Baer; Division II – Eastwood’s Alanna Heestand and
Hannah Hirzel; and Rossford’s Kasey Geraghty; Division III – Elmwood’s Brittany Gross and Kristen
Curtis; Lake’s Jordyn Taylor, Alyssa Shaffer, and Hunter Johnson; Lakota’s Jessica Hoffman and Kaela
Wiseman; Northwood’s Becca Bisbee and Anna Raymond; and Otsego’s Kylee Bernthisel and Micaela Murphy;
and Division IV – North Baltimore’s Rachel Flores and Megan Wright.
