TROY, Ohio (AP) — An adoptive father in western Ohio has
been accused of raping three children and allowing other men to have sex
with one of them.
A family services official Wednesday called the
allegations "heinous, horrific, awful," as state and local authorities
investigated. The children had been adopted through a private agency.
The
39-year-old Troy man was being held on $800,000 bond in Miami County
Jail on three counts of rape and one of compelling prostitution. A
message left for the county public defender’s office wasn’t immediately
returned.
Police say the man adopted a 9-year-old girl and two
boys and was in the process of adopting a third boy. Police say the rape
charges involved the three boys. Troy police say a 10-year-old boy says
two other men had sex with him.
