The League of Women Voters is sponsoring a discussion about fracking at the Wood County Library at 1
p.m., Feb. 24, and showing the film Gasland at 2 and 6 p.m., March 13, at the Way Library in Perrysburg.

Among other concerns, I’m sure the discussion and film will touch on the implications that increased
seismic activity near fracking waste disposal wells may have for nuclear power plants.
I believe the recent earthquakes near the Youngstown disposal wells registered in both Sandusky
(Davis-Besse nuclear plant) and Cleveland (Perry nuclear plant).
