Donate blood
Give blood at two area American Red Cross blood drives.
They are today from 9 to 2 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Pemberville, and Friday from
9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Stadium View Apartments, 1700 Juniper Drive.
Book group talks ‘Perfect Love’
Wood County District Public Library’s book group, Read for Inspiration, will meet
Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Deb Born leading the group in the discussion of
"A Perfect Love" by Lori Copeland.
The group meets in the library’s 2nd Floor Reading Lounge; the program is free and
open to all.
The library is located at 251 N. Main St.
Learn about Owens’ food pantries
Owens Community College will offer area residents an opportunity to learn more about
the Owens Harvest Food Pantries initiative on both campuses as part of open
house events next week.
The first open houses will be Tuesday in Heritage Hall room 109 on the Perrysburg
Township campus, and the second open house will be Thursday in the
maintenance/department of public safety building room 106 on the Findlay campus.
Both events run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The pantries are designed to provide students with free non-perishable food resources
as well as various service learning opportunities.
The effort is in cooperation with the Toledo Seagate Food Bank.
