Katherine A. Lenhart, 83, of Portage, Ohio and formerly of Bowling Green, died
Saturday at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green.
She was born October 5, 1928 in Wescosville, Pa. to Alva Kressler and Thelma (Gross)
Fuller. She married Richard A. Lenhart on June 1, 1951 and he preceded her in
death in 1984.
Katherine taught school at Napoleon High School and Owens Community College and was
retired.
She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Black Swamp Theater
Group. She taught CPR at the Red Cross both in Bowling Green and Toledo, and was
an avid college basketball and football fan and loved watching Jeff Gordon in
NASCAR racing. She loved her Golden Retriever "Jaunty."
She is survived by her son, Matthew (Lisa) of Solon, Ohio, daughters, Sarah of
Bowling Green, Gretchen Dale of Delta, Ohio, grandchildren, Gareth Bellinger,
Hannah and Emma Lenhart, Cpl. Nathaniel Instone, great-grandchild, Riley Kay
Instone.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11 a.m.
at the St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1505 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green. Father
Christopher Zeke Coughlin will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Public visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
DUNN FUNERAL HOME, 408 W. Wooster St., located in the Historical District of Bowling
Green, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Katherine’s memory can be given to Lenhart Endowment fund
at BGSU or the St. John’s Episcopal Church.
