PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg Junior High School has completed a school-wide project spearheaded by sixth grade
language arts teacher Deb Horrall to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation.
During the week of Dec. 12, during PJH’s Academic Options period, students used their written expression
skills to help kids with life-threatening diseases. Through a program with Macy’s, letters were written
to Santa and in turn, Macy’s donated $2 per letter to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
PJH students and staff wrote more than 3,000 letters for a total donation of over $6,000.
"It costs Make-A-Wish a total of $5,000 to $7,000, on an average, to grant a wish to a child,"
stated Dale Wiltse, junior high principal. "It is amazing that PJH, through this opportunity, has
supplied what is needed to grant a full wish to one child!"
