Wayne-area Modern Woodmen of America members recently put their hands where their hearts are.
This summer and fall, area members and the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department made several improvements to
their facility.
The work included improvements to the 9-11 memorial as well as tree plantings and additional landscaping.

The project was part of the organization’s Good Neighbor Program, a nationwide program that gives Modern
Woodmen chapters $750 for hands on repair and community beautification projects.
Nearly 500 such projects benefit communities in the United States annually.
