BG women’s soccer play to tie
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Bowling Green men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Michigan State in a
non-league game Wednesday. The Falcons are 7-4-2 overall.
The Falcons played the final 69 minutes with 10 players.
BG goalie Michael Wiest made five saves to record his sixth shutout of the season. BG had 13 total shot
with three on net in the match.
Four Falcons to play in ITA regional
COLUMBUS – Four members of the Bowling Green tennis team have qualified for this weekend’s ITA Midwest
Regional Championships at Ohio State.
Maddy Eccleston, Mary Hill, Nikki Chiricosta and Emily Reuland will represent the Falcons at the event.

The tournament begins today and runs Tuesday.
Lichtensteiger done for season
ASHBURN, Va. – Former Bowling Green Falcon Kory Lichtensteiger, who had been starting at left guard for
the Washington Redskins, is done for the year with two torn ligaments – the ACL and MCL – in his right
knee.
He suffered the injury in the Redskins’ 20-13 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday.
Owens men soccer wins
KIRTLAND – Alec Smith, from Perrysburg, had three assists as the Owens Community College men’s soccer
team beat Lakeland CC, 6-2 Wednesday.
Novak Vuk Janicic and Nickyle Webber each scored two goals for Owens while Ababacar Ndoye and Juavanie
Cole each had one.
Jake Olman saved four shots for Owens.
The Express are now 12-6 overall and 9-5 in Region XII.
Owens women soccer wins
JACKSON, Mich. – The Owens Community College women’s soccer team beat Jackson CC, 1-0 Wednesday.
Kendra Eitniear scored the only goal of the game. Shara Williams saved seven shots and posted her sixth
shutout of the season.
Owens is now 11-6 overall and 4-4 in Region XII. The Express must either win or tie one of their two
remaining regular season games or have Cincinnati State lose or tie one of their remaining two games to
clinch a spot in the Region XII tournament.
Owens golfers compete
DAYTON – Owens Community College’s golf team was 16th in the Dayton Flyer Invitational at NCR Country
Club. The Express had a 662 total.
Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis won the 16-team event in a playoff with Dayton. Both teams shot 585.
Scorers for Owens, now 10-23 overall, were: Greg Hermes and Luke Bergner, tied for 65th, 161; Walter
Dorosh, tied for 77th, 164; Darrin Gessner, 89th, 169; Conor Totzuke, tied for 91st, 171; and Tyler
Crossley, 93rd, 174.
