Eastwood’s girls soccer team tallied a 7-0 home win over Rossford in a Northern Buckeye Conference match
on Saturday.
Danielle Jensen scored five times and added an assist to lead Eastwood and Saige Smith scored two goals
and had one assist.
Jessica McClain had two assists, and Reagan Boice, Courtney Niswander and Katherine Przybylski each had
one assist for the Eagles.
Rossford did not record a shot on goal.

In Columbus, the Yellow Jackets’ Alex Brown scored both goals as Perrysburg won the non-league match.

In Rossford, Eastwood’s Caleb Vespi scored twice and Jordan Luther, Ozzy Paredes, Travis Mohre and Chris
Mercer each scored once in the NBC match.
The Eagles are 5-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the NBC.
Tyler Bourdo and Chris Baker each had two assists, and goalie Randy Caris made four saves.
Justin Klocko made six saves and Tood Kitzler made one save for Rossford.

Elmwood, Lake’s Adkins
win at Lakota
In Kansas, Elmwood won the team title and Lake’s Nathan Adkins finished first individually in the 13-team
Joe McKown Division of the Lakota Invitational on Saturday.
Elmwood finished with 76 points. Lake finished third with 88 points.
Results for Elmwood were: Dexter, Lee, third, 16:43.4; Josh Boes, seventh, 17:04.1; Lorne Strausbaugh,
18th, 17:36.3; Alex Jasso, 22nd, 17:44.0; and Conlan Varty, 26th, 17:52.9.
Results for Lake were: Adkins, first, 16:39.3; Scott Brittenham, 10th, 17:07.7; Riley Breese, 21st,
17:42.9; Tyler Rickman, 25th, 17:47.5; and Nathan Scanlan, 31st, 18:08.8.
In the 17-team Doug Nieset Division, Lakota finished 13th with 324 points and North Baltimore was 15th
with 395 points. Old Fort was first with 52 points.

In Galion, Bowling Green finished 18th out of 37 teams at the Galion Cross Country Festival Saturday. The
Bobcats finished with 500 points. Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit was first with 119 points.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Lakota’s Reese takes fifth
In Kansas, Lakota’s Cariss Reese finished fifth in the 12-team Rachel Munoz Division. Reese finished in a
time of 19:58.2.
The Raiders finished 10th as a team with 236 points. Hopewell-Loudon was first with 77 points.
Other results for Lakota were: Barbara Sprauer, 52nd, 23:53.0; Breese Reidling, 60th, 24:15.9; Amber
Steiner, 68th, 24:59.4; and Paige Weyant, 101st, 30:00.8.
In the 10-team Julie Harrison Division, Elmwood was sixth with 123 points and Lake was 10th with 270
points. Liberty Center finished first with 34 points.

Elmwood sweeps tri-match
In Jerry City, Elmwood swept a non-league tri-match with Van Buren and Fostoria St. Wendelin.
The Royals defeated Van Buren, 25-15, 25-14, then went on to beat St. Wendelin, 25-20, 25-19.
Leaders in the two matches for the Royals were: Amanda Jones, 18 assists, four digs; Courtney Thomson,
five kills, four digs; Brittany George, six kills, three digs; and Kori Reiser, five kills.
Perrysburg wins Irish Invite
In Toledo, Perrysburg won the Irish Invite at Central Catholic High School on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets beat Central Catholic in the finals, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21. Perrysburg is 10-2.
Leaders against Central were: Claire Casey, four kills, five aces; Stephanie Richards, nine kills; and
Lindsay Smith, five kills, 21 assists.
