PERRYSBURG – Kelly Anne Allen became the bride of John Terrence Ayers on May 28 at Blessed John XXIII
Parish.
Fr. Herb Weber was celebrant for the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Neal and Darlene Allen, Bowling Green. The groom is the son of Laurel and
the late John Ayers, Canyon, Texas.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk taffeta, strapless Priscilla of Boston
ballgown with ruched bodice and overskirt. It featured a dropped waist with a beaded sash and a
sweetheart neckline embellished with an antique brooch. She chose an ivory veil with crystallized and
pearl attached comb.
Kelly Blair, Troy, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Beth Bazeley, Maumee; Jolee Luce, Lubbock, Texas, sister of the groom; Brooke Walthall,
Dallas, cousin of the groom; Taynna Cusic, San Diego, Calif.; and Catherine Stark, Korea. They wore
strapless horizon blue knee-length gowns cinched at the waist.
Caylee Schwiebert of Hamler, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a sleeveless tea length dress
with an ivory bridal satin bodice, a full organza overlay skirt and a horizon blue sash.
Ring bearer was John Curry, Lubbock, nephew of the groom.
Justin Ziegler, Canyon, and Keith Sparling, Dallas, served as best men.
Groomsmen were Dave Allen, Houston, and Jeff Allen, Washington. D.C., both brothers of the bride; Russell
Melcher, Canyon; and Kevin Brinkley, Panhandle, Texas.
Michael Puppos was pianist and soloist for the ceremony.
A reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Perrysburg, with music furnished by Decorative Sound.
The newlyweds are now at home at 1702 Stacy Falls, Houston.
The bride graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1999 and Bowling Green State University in 2003,
with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is currently a 2012 MBA candidate at Arizona
State University and is employed by BP America as a senior procurement manager in Houston.
The groom graduated from Canyon High School in Texas in 1997 and from West Texas A&M with a
Bachelor of Science in 2001 and Master of Arts in 2002. He is employed as general manager for Cintas in
Houston.
