BGSU swimmers compete at nationals
PALO ALTO, Calif. – Bowling Green State University swimmers Alexis Kain and Amanda Rom competed at the
U.S.A. Swimming National Championships over the weekend.
Rom, who will be a senior, competed in the 100 breast stroke, finishing in a time of 1:12.23. She also
competed in the 200 backstroke, finishing in a time of 2:36.79.
Kain, who will be a junior, also competed in the 100 and 200 breast stroke, finishing the 100 in 1:11.42,
a personal best. She finished the 200 in 2:46.59.
The meet, held at Stanford University, serves as the selection meet for the 2011 Pan American Games which
will take place October in Mexico. Neither swimmer qualified out of the nationals.
