BG men’s soccer schedule changed
Bowling Green men’s soccer match vs. the University of Detroit Mercy, originally scheduled to be played
in Bowling Green, has been moved to Detroit.
BG and UDM will meet on Sept. 21 with kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m. at UDM’s Titan Field.
Harness racing at county fair
There will be 11 harness races at the Wood County Fair Wednesday with post time at 6 p.m.
Fifty-four horses have been entered for the 11 races, including 15 either Wood County owned or trained.

There will be pari-mutuel wagering available.
BG middle school volleyball tryouts
Tryouts for seventh and eighth grade volleyball at Bowling Green will be Monday through Aug. 10.
Eighth grade will run from 8-10 a.m. and seventh grade will run from 10 a.m.-noon each day at the junior
high.
Each participant will need to have physical forms, OHSAA forms, and emergency medial forms.

U-12 Jr. Bobcat tryouts scheduled
Tryouts for the 2012 season U-12 Jr. Bobcats are Saturday at noon at Carter Park.

The Elmwood boys basketball team is hosting their annual golf scramble Aug. 13 at 8 a.m. at Loudon
Meadows Golf Club in Fostoria.

JERRY CITY – The following are the start dates and times for Elmwood Middle School fall sports:
• Seventh and eighth grade cross country, Monday, 7:15-8:30 p.m.
• Seventh and eighth grade football, Monday, 3-5 p.m.
• Seventh grade volleyball, Aug 10, -8 p.m;
• Eighth grade volleyball, Aug 10, 8-10 a.m.
The mandatory fall preseason parents meeting is Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Auditeria. All fall athletes
and their parents must attend.
