Donahue signs with St. Louis Rams
ST. LOUIS – Former Bowling Green State University offensive lineman, Tyler Donahue, has agreed to a deal
with the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League. He was an undrafted free agent.
Donahue, who started 25 straight games for the Falcons, spent time at both tackle positions in 2010. He
began the year at right tackle, but moved over to the left side after Blaec Walker suffered an injury.
Donahue spent the entire 2009 season as the Falcons’ starting right tackle.
BG city tennis championships
The ninth annual Bowling Green City Tennis Championships will be held Thursday-Sunday on the campus of
BGSU.
The event is sponsored by the BG Community Tennis Association and all proceeds support the junior tennis
programs in the area.
Male and females players from BG, Perrysburg, Toledo and Findlay will be competing. There is no cost to
watch the matches.
Links Lassies
The Forrest Creason Links Lassies played on Tuesday.
Flight winners were: A – Kay Soltez, low gross; Kay Marten, low net; B – Mary Ann Hillier and Suee Kerr,
low gross and low net each; C – Carol Jones, low gross and low net.
Soltez was the low putts winner.
Golferettes
The Bowling Green Country Club Golferettes held a scramble on Tuesday.
The team of Joyce Stearns, Betty Birr, Linda Rood, and Linda Moore won the tournament with a 72.
The second-place team, with a 73, was Lynne Helm, Judy Reynolds, Becky Dunn, and Sherry Haskins.
Bass Pro Shop sets Fall Hunting Classic
ROSSFORD – Bass Pro Shop in Rossford will be hosting its annual Fall Hunting Classic Aug. 5-21.
The event, which is free, is expected to attract approximately 100,000 people.
