PERRYSBURG – Puttin’ On The Glitz is relocating from its current location in the Country Charm Shopping
Center to a new location in historic downtown Perrysburg. It is moving into the Houston Building, 200
Louisiana Ave., at the corner of Louisiana Avenue and West Second Street.
Owned and operated by Joanne Heuss and her daughter Kelly, the boutique opened June 1, 2008 as a small
bridal accessories boutique which aimed to provide brides with elegant options at reasonable prices.
It expanded after just six months, adding a full women’s gift shop with unique gifts, jewelry and
accessories. With product lines like Miche Bag purses, Bauble Lulu Beads, Embellish Your Story from Ann
Arbor artist Carol Roeda and more, the boutique has established customers in over 400 cities in seven
different countries, in addition to local customers.
In the past three years, they have been awarded three Brides Choice Awards from WeddingWire.com,
recognizing them as one of the top three percent of bridal businesses in the nation and recognized by
Google Favorite Places as one of the top less than one percent of local businesses on their search
engine.
With the opening of the new location, Puttin’ On The Glitz is once again expanding their offerings.
Puttin’ On The Glitz now also carries gourmet specialty foods from Cherry Republic, Food For Thought,
Spice Merchants, Brownwood Farms and more. The new gourmet section of the store will feature
locally-produced jams, jellies, salsas, hot sauces, bottled sodas, loose teas, and spice blends. Many of
the products are USDA organic certified and/or fair trade certified.
Puttin’ On The Glitz will close at their current location at 120 W. South Boundary St. starting July 24
and re-open in the new location on July 28.
Store hours will be Tuesday through Thursday from 11a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
It will be hosting a grand reopening celebration Aug. 4 to 6.
