Haskins Clover Crew
Members of the Haskins Clover Crew 4-H Club met Sunday at the Wenig farm.
Members talked about the club’s booth and decided to do ’50s theme for both the booth and the float in
the parade.
Next, Kelsey Ortiz volunteered to call the humane society for information for the club’s service project.
There were then 13 demonstrations.
Allison Ortiz spoke on "History of Quilts," followed by Megan Ortiz with "Fabrics and
Patterns;" Haley Asmus on "Art and Expression;" Kylie Asmus did "Photography"
and Hannah Smoyer did hers on "Scrapbooking." Afterwards Madison Dzierwa did a demonstration
on "Growing with Others," Alissa Jacobs did "Racing the Clock to Awesome Meals," and
Maddie Kriegel did "First Aid in Action."
Lauren Wynn and Mason Nicely both also did "Scrapbooking" and Brooke Kennedy and Taylor Ceapeck
did their demonstration on "Perfect Pals." The last demonstration for the meeting was Alex
Wynn with "Beef Feeder. "
The next meeting will be Sunday at 6:30 at the Wenig Farm.
Green Meadows
The Green Meadows 4-H Club held its last meeting on Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with 10 members
present.
Members were reminded of upcoming project judging dates, and provided details for the Junior Fair Youth
Parade held at fair. The club also finalized booth details and determined a set-up time.
Five members presented demonstrations: Gwen Amborski and Marissa Garrett on "Laundry for
Beginners" Kelsey Burg on "You Can Quilt," Erin Swanson on "Frugel Fashion,"
and Caroline Weihl on "Market Steers" and "Carcass Evaluation."
The last meeting will consist of an ice cream party and will be held on July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at St.
Paul’s Church.
