Leslie Ervin Barger, 98, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Wood Haven Health Care,
where he had been a resident since November.
Les was born to Herman and Viola Barger in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on January 7, 1913.
He served in the Army for some 20+ years and retired to Bowling Green, Ohio in 1966.
He was an accomplished pianist who for many years provided chamber music at Petty’s Alpine Restaurant in
Bowling Green and subsequently at Netterfields and Frank Uncle’s Restaurants in Toledo. He resided at
Stadium View Apartments for the last 30 years.
Les is survived by a brother, Lynn Barger, Cle Elum, Washington and a niece, Martha Southworth, DeQueen,
Arkansas, as well as many good friends in the Bowling Green/ Toledo Area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack Barger, and sisters Beatrice Stafford and
Lucille Faulkner.
At his request there will be no service. Burial will be in Cherry Valley, Arkansas.

Green, OH. 43402.
Arrangements are being handled by the Peinert Funeral Home, Tontogany, Ohio.
