Spaghetti dinner for Weston Days
The Weston Days Committee is hosting a spaghetti dinner to raise money to have fireworks for the annual
festival that is held last weekend in June.
The dinner will start at 5 p.m Friday at the Weston Township Fire Station and cost $6 a plate. Dinner
includes spaghetti, garlic toast, salad, dessert, coffee or punch. There also be 50/50 drawings and a
silent auction.
If enough money isn’t raised for fireworks this year, the committee will continue to raise funds fore
fireworks in future years.
Trash or cash Sat. at Museum
Wood County Historical Society’s annual Trash or Cash Antique Appraisal Clinic is Saturday from 1 to 3
p.m.
At least three appraisers will be at the museum to provide verbal appraisals. There is a limit of two
items per person, to give everyone a chance to be seen that afternoon.
Historical society members get a discounted admission of only $10/person (general public: $15/person),
and the museum will be open for self-guided tours. For friends that are tagging along but not getting an
appraisal, the museum appreciates a $4 donation admission.

Shertzer speaker for BG Kiwanis
Bowling Green High School teacher Mike Shertzer will speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon on
Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Shertzer has taught industrial arts and FFA classes in the Bowling Green school system for 34 years. In
addition he teaches night classes on small engine repair and woodworking.
North Baltimore thrift store sale
NORTH BALTIMORE – St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store, 115 W. State St. is having a half-price sale this week
on all clothes.
The store will be closed on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in observance of Ash Wednesday.
