Mary Louise Fries, age 85, formerly of Luckey, OH most recently of Wakonda, SD, passed away on Tuesday
morning, February 15, 2011 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, SD.
She was born on December 21, 1925 in Bowling Green, OH to Walter and Lavon (Correll) Hanline. Mary Louise
married Max J. Fries on November 8, 1947 in Bowling Green, OH and he preceded her in death on June 1,
1986.
After 32 years of employment at Brush Wellman, Elmore, OH, as a typist, she retired in 1988.
Her memberships include: Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey, OH and Troy-Webster Auxiliary American Legion Post
#240, Luckey, OH.
Mary Louise is survived by her son: Gary (Jan) Fries of Bowling Green, OH, daughter: Barbara (Rev. Ralph)
Egbert of Gayville, SD, 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Max, brothers: Norbert, Edward, Derwood and Lawrence.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral
Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH. Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, February 21, 2011 at
11 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church, Luckey, OH, where there will be additional visitation from 10 a.m.
until time of services. Interment will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloomdale, OH. Officiating will be Rev.
Ralph Egbert. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the
memorial services.
