Bowling Green earned the No. 1 seed for its boys sectional high school basketball tournament that begins
March 1.
BG, 15-2 overall, was the top seed in the Division I sectional at Liberty-Benton.
The Bobcats were the only Wood County team to be seeded first or second.
Following is the sectional formation for the county schools:
DIVISION I
At Liberty-Benton
BG received a first-round bye and will play Perrysburg (10-6) or Lima Senior (11-4) in a sectional final
March 4 at 6:15 p.m.
The Perrysburg-Lima Senior game is March 1 at 7 p.m.
Findlay (15-1) was the No. 2 seed.
The sectional champions will meet in a district semifinal, also at Liberty-Benton. The district final is
at BGSU’s Anderson Arena.
DIVISION II
At Clay
Eastwood (6-10) plays Toledo Woodward (2-14) in a first-round game March 1 at 6:15 p.m.
The winner plays second-seeded Toledo Waite (5-11) in a sectional final March 4 at 6:15 p.m.
Rossford (3-14) plays Oak Harbor (2-15) in a first-round game March 1 at 8 p.m.
The winner plays top-seeded Toledo Scott (7-9) in a sectional final March 4 at 8 p.m.
The sectional champions advance to the district tournament at Anderson Arena.
DIVISION III
At Findlay High School
Elmwood (12-4) will play second-seeded Patrick Henry (12-5) in a sectional final March 4 at 8 p.m.
Ottawa-Glandorf (12-6) was the No. 1 seed.
The sectional champions advance to the district tournament at Elida.
At Toledo Whitmer
Lake (9-7) plays Otsego (5-11) in a first-round game March 1 at 8 p.m.
The winner plays second-seeded Delta (9-7) in a sectional final March 4 at 8 p.m.
Evergreen (11-5) was the No. 1 seed.
The sectional champions advance to the district tournament at Napoleon.
At Norwalk High School
Lakota (0-16) plays top-seeded Western Reserve (15-2) in a first-round game March 1 at 6:15 p.m.
The winner plays Gibsonburg (6-9) in a sectional final March 4 at 6:15 p.m.
Huron was the No. 1 seed.
The sectional champions advance to the district tournament at Mansfield Senior.
DIVISION IV
At Rossford
Northwood (3-14) plays Toledo Christian (10-5) in a first-round game March 2 at 6:15 p.m.
The winner plays top-seeded Maumeee Valley (12-2) in a sectional final March 4 at 6:15 p.m.
Ottawa Hills (15-2) was the No. 2 seed.
The sectional champions advance to the district tournament at Gibsonburg.
At Ottawa-Glandorf
North Baltimore (7-10) plays Pandora-Gilboa (5-12) in a first-round game March 2 at 6:15 p.m.
The winner plays top-seeded McComb (15-0) in a sectional final March 4 at 6:15 p.m.
Leipsic (10-6) was the No. 2 seed.
The sectional champions advance to the district tournament at Liberty-Benton.
