Prep roundup: Elmwood girls beat Eastwood (1-29-11)

Elmwood had three girls score in double-figures on the way to a 50-35 Suburban Lakes League win over
Eastwood Friday.

and Woodmore 51, Gibsonburg 34.
In a Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls game, Northwood edged Danbury in overtime, 43-42.
In boys Northern Lakes League games, it was: Bowling Green 85, Rossford 44; Perrysburg 53, Southview 51;
Springfield 67, Anthony Wayne 60; and Maumee 51, Northview 33.
In boys Midland Athletic League games, it was: Fremont St. Joseph 51, Lakota 21; and North Baltimore 65,
Fostoria St. Wendelin 58.
GIRLS
Elmwood 50, Eastwood 35
In Luckey, Reagan Briggs, 16 points, Brittany Gross, 13 points, and Sierra Beckford, 12 points, led
Elmwood in its SLL win over Eastwood.
Elmwood is 3-11 overall and 3-6 in the SLL.
Courtney Rolf scored seven points for Eastwood, 1-14, 0-8.
Woodmore 51, Gibsonburg 34
In Elmore, Kalyn Tate and Audrey Thorbahn each scored 16 points for Woodmore in its SLL win over
Gibsonburg.
Woodmore is 10-6 overall, 7-2 in the SLL.
Katey Dushane led Gibsonburg (3-14, 1-6) with 14 points.
Northwood 43, Danbury 42, OT
In Lakeside, Sammie Brisbin led three Rangers in double-figures with 13 points.
Becca Bisbee had 12 points and Sandy Koch added 11 for Northwood, which improved to 6-9, 5-4.
The Rangers out-scored Danbury (5-8, 5-3) 6-5 in the overtime.
BOYS
Fremont St. Joseph 51, Lakota 21
In Fremont, Brant Reardon scored 22 points to lead Fremont St. Joseph past Lakota in a MAL game. St.
Joseph is 7-6 overall and 5-2 in the MAL while Lakota is 0-13, 0-8.
Nick McDole scored 10 points for Lakota.
North Baltimore 65, Fostoria St. Wendelin 58
In North Baltimore, the Tigers out-scored St. Wendelin, 17-6 in the second quarter on the way to the MAL
victory. NB is 7-8 overall and 3-4 in the MAL while St. Wendelin is 4-7, 2-5.
Clinton Ebright led NB with 23 points. Tyler Schloemp added 15 points and Parker Emahiser had a
double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Nate Hammer made seven 3-pointers and ended up with a game-high 27 points for St. Wendelin.
Springfield 67, Anthony Wayne 60
In Whitehouse, Leroy Alexander and Chester McFadden combined for 47 points in the Blue Devils’ NLL win.

Alexander led all players with 26 while McFadden added 21 for Springfield, now 9-4, 6-3.
Jake Conklin led AW (3-10, 2-8) with 18 points.
Maumee 51, Northview 33
In Maumee, the Panthers out-scored Northview 30-17 in the second half on the way to the NLL win. The
Panthers are 8-7 overall and 5-5 in the NLL while Northview is 2-10, 1-8.
Shawn Flanagan led Maumee with 13 points. Conner Hartnett scored 11 points for Northview.
