NORTH BALTIMORE – Two village residents were arrested on drug charges late Sunday following a meth lab
bust.
According to North Baltimore Police Chief Allan Baer, at 10:55 p.m. two North Baltimore officers and a
member of the Wood County Drug Task Force responded to a home in the 200 block of East Walnut Street
after the officers received information about the residence.
Baer said the officers began asking questions and talking to the residents, Mike and Terri Simon, both of
North Baltimore, and consent was given to search the residence.
Baer said that as a result of the search, ingredients used to make methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia
associated with its use, as well as an amount of the drug itself, were found in the home. The Simons
were arrested on two felony counts of manufacturing and distribution of narcotics.
Two children living in the home have been placed with family.
Baer said that it is being looked into whether the pair was making the drug for sale or for personal use,
and the investigation is ongoing.
