Crosby jersey available
The Bowling Green Youth Hockey Association is selling raffle tickets for framed, autographed Sidney
Crosby Pittsburgh Penguins jersey.
Tickets will be available at Friday’s Bowling Green Falcon hockey game or by emailing
[email protected].
Tickets are $25 and only 125 will be sold. The drawing is Feb. 5 at Youth Hockey Day.
Blueliner reception set
All Bowling Green Blueliner members are invited to attend an appreciation reception on Sunday immediately
following the Bowling Green High School hockey game which starts at 12:45 p.m. against St. John’s.
The reception will be in the Ice Arena Lounge and includes a light lunch, a chance to meet the players
and coaches, and door prizes.
BGSU women 36th in AP poll
Bowling Green’s women’s basketball team reminds tied for 36th with two points in the latest Associated
Press poll.
The Falcons were also tied for 36th with two points last week.
Prochaska earns MAC honor
CLEVELAND – Bowling Green’s Lauren Prochaska is the Mid-American Conference East player of the week
Prochaska earns the honor for the second time this season and the 11th time in her Falcon career.
A senior, Prochaska averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as the Falcons went 2-0
last week. She scored 30 points in BGSU’s 72-61 win at Buffalo on last Tuesday marking her second
30-point game of the season and the fifth of her career.
Then on Saturday Prochaska scored 16 points in the Falcons’ 90-62 win over Central Michigan at Anderson
Arena.
In the two games, Prochaska shot over 45 percent from the 3-point arc, going 5-of-11, and she was perfect
from the free-throw line, making all 19 of her attempts.
