Prep Hoops: Lake girls stay perfect; Perrysburg falls to Notre Dame for 1-24-11

Lake’s girls basketball team remained undefeated, notching a 43-26 victory over Swanton while Perrysburg
dropped a 58-48 decision to Notre Dame Academy PHOTO GALLERY
Saturday.
In other girls non-league games, it was: Otsego 54, Van Buren 50; and Toledo Whitmer 42, Eastwood 22.
In a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game, Northwood topped Emmanuel Christian, 68-25.
In a boys Midland Athletic League game, Hopewell-Loudon defeated Lakota, 52-22.
In a boys non-league game, North Baltimore defeated Arcadia, 54-43.
GIRLS
Lake 43, Swanton 26
In Swanton, Lake’s Kaysie Brittenham poured in 25 points and the No. 4-ranked Flyers improved to 13-0
overall.
Brittenham scored 23 points in the first half as Lake led 33-13 at the break.
Swanton is 4-11.
Notre Dame Academy 58, Perrysburg 48
In Perrysburg, the Yellow Jackets couldn’t come back from a 33-20 halftime deficit.
Perrysburg is 10-2.
Nicole Delas led the ’Jackets with 14 points.
Cat Wells paced the Eagles with 14 points.
Otsego 54, Van Buren 50
In Tontogany, Otsego out-scored Van Buren 33-20 in the second half en route to the victory.
Hannah Greulich led Otsego, now 5-10, with 12 points and Kylee Bernthisel scored 11.
Madie Colden led Van Buren with 18 points.
Toledo Whitmer 42, Eastwood 22
In Toledo, Eastwood was held scoreless in the first quarter and couldn’t recover in the non-league
defeat.
Alanna Heestand led the Eagles with six points.
Keshyra McCarver led the Panthers with 13 points.
Northwood 68, Emmanuel Christian 25
In Northwood, Becca Bisbee scored 19 points to lead the Rangers past Emmanuel Christian in a TAAC game.

Northwood is 5-9 overall and 4-4 in the TAAC. Emmanuel Christian is 2-9, 1-7.
Payton Wojcinski scored all of her 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in the second half, for the
Rangers and Kelly Sawmiller added 10 points, also all in the second half.
My My Allens scored 10 points for EC.
BOYS
Hopewell-Loudon 52, Lakota 22
In Bascom, Hopewell held Lakota to single-digit scoring in each quarter for the MAL victory.
The Chieftains are 5-7 overall and 3-4 in the MAL.
Lakota is 0-12, 0-7.
Chris Robbins led the Raiders with nine points.
North Baltimore 54, Arcadia 43
In Arcadia, NB’s Clinton Ebright had a game-high 18 points and Tyler Schloemp added 15 in the Tigers’
victory.
NB is 6-8 overall.
