BG-Northview basketball schedule
Bowling Green hosts Northview in boys and girls basketball today and Friday.
Today’s schedule starts with the freshmen girls at 4:45 p.m., followed by the freshmen boys and the boys
junior varsity games.
Friday’s schedule begins with the girls junior varsity game at 4:45 p.m., followed by the varsity girls
and varsity boys games.
Elmwood to host chili cook-off
JERRY CITY – The Elmwood Athletic Department will host the Fire House Chili Cook-Off Tuesday from
5:30-6:30 p.m. in the high school auditeria prior to the Elmwood-Genoa girls basketball game.
A $5 donation will entitle people to a sample of each chili from each of the fire departments in the
district, drink and a voting ballot.
Elmwood has opening for asst. varsity boys track coach
JERRY CITY – Elmwood has an opening for a high school varsity boys assistant track coach.

Owens women rout Lakeland
The Owens Community College women’s basketball team notched a 88-51 win over Lakeland in an Ohio
Community College Athletic Conference game Wednesday.
The Express, ranked No. 5 in NJCAA Division II, improved to 17-4 overall and 3-1 in the OCCAC.
Five players scored in double-figures for Owens, led by Dana Mathews with 19 points. Jasmine Blanton and
Nasumbi Beard each had 14 points, Aja Hall had 13 points, and Megan Miller added 10 points.
Owens men lose to Lakeland
The Owens Community College men’s basketball team fell to Lakeland, 86-82, in an OCCAC game Wednesday.

The Express are 7-14 overall and 1-3 in the OCCAC.
Derrick Sanderfer led Owens with 21 points and eight rebounds. Rossford High School graduate Tommy
Kralovic added 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range.
Roth rolls first 300
Rod Roth, bowling in the Monday Night Trio League at Varsity Lanes, rolled his first career 300 game on
Monday.
It was the second game of the night and followed a 202 opening game. He followed with 229 and 238 for a
731 series and 969 total.
