BG-Troy hockey canceled
Bowling Green’s high school hockey game against Troy on Sunday in the Ice Arena has been canceled.
The game was canceled to keep BG’s schedule at 18 games, the maximum allowed by the Ohio High School
Athletic Association.
BG thought it was at the 18-game limit until it recently learned last weekend’s tournament in Bethel
Park, Pa. had nine teams, not eight as originally thought.
Tournaments with nine or more teams count as two games under OHSAA rules, but tournaments with eight or
fewer teams count as just one game. – GORDON
