ROSSFORD – The Rossford High School Drama Club, under the direction of Julie Zatko and Ryan Mahaffey,
will present "2011 Winter One Acts" this month.
Performances on Jan. 27-29 will begin at 7:30 p.m.; a matinee on Jan. 30 will start at 2 p.m. There will
be a talkback with the author, Michael Krieger, at the Jan. 27 performance.
All tickets are $5 general admission and based on a first come, first serve basis. No ticket reservations
will be accepted.
This unique production will be presented in a "theater in the round" style, with the audience
sitting on stage with the actors.
Many of the school’s One Acts have been written by Krieger, a local playwright and acclaimed published
author. Krieger has written various fictional novels including "Summer Songs," "Dancing
Over Quicksand" and "Melvin Howard’s Fireside Chats." His works featured in this
production will include the comedy "Old Glory Truck Stop," the dramatic tragedy
"Shadows," and "Streetlight People" (based upon the popular Journey song "Don’t
Stop Believin’").
Krieger is also a long-standing educator with the Rossford High School English Department. He resides in
Rossford.
Also featured in the evening of One Acts will be scenes from Shakespeare’s comedy of manners, "As
You Like It," and Chekhov’s battle of the sexes, "The Bear."
Rossford High School’s auditorium is located at 701 Superior St. in downtown Rossford. For further
