Alleged bank robber arrested
PERRYSBURG – Police early Friday morning took into custody a man they believe robbed a bank on West South
Boundary Street Thursday afternoon.
The suspect, David Poling, 52, no permanent address, was taken into custody about 1 a.m. by Perrysburg
Police and the FBI Fugitive Task Force. He has been charged with aggravated robbery.
Police say that during the arrest evidence was recovered in the suspect’s vehicle and the vehicle was
towed for investigative purposes.
Police said calls and information from citizens helped to locate the suspect.
The robbery took place at approximately 1:35 p.m. at PNC Bank, 100 W. South Boundary St..
The suspect stated that he had a weapon but did not show it during the incident. He fled the bank with an
undetermined amount of money.
Poling is being held at the Wood County Justice Center.
Ridge Street work scheduled
Ridge Street, between North Main and North Prospect streets, will be closed to through traffic during
work hours next week.
Also, utility work is scheduled for North Main Street, between Oak Street and Evers Avenue, and will
result in lane closures. Work may occur on side streets in this area.
Starting Monday, no parking will be allowed on North Main Street, between Oak and Ridge streets, and on
East Merry Avenue, between North Main and North Prospect streets.
Work in this area is being done by various contractors working for Columbia Gas to upgrade and improve
service delivery.
