Jan. 1 citations:
DUS (FRA/non-compliance suspension), expired registration, display of plates – Steven Black Jr.,
Perrysburg.
Traffic control device – Melanie Varrone, Perrysburg.
A number of calls were received in reference to multiple gunshots in the area of Simmons Road and Avenue
Road. Officers determined the source of the noise was fireworks from a Simmons Road residence, and a
warning was issued.
An officer was dispatched to the intersection of West Indiana Avenue and Mulberry Street on the report of
smoke. A used "smoke bomb" firework was found in the roadway.
Raquel Mejia, Oregon, was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence and cited for drive
within lanes.
A purse was reported stolen from a restaurant in the 6000 block of Levis Commons Boulevard.
Threats were reported in the 200 block of Queensland Boulevard.
A woman reportedly left a restaurant in the 4100 block of Levis Commons Boulevard without paying for her
meal.
Jan. 2 citations:
Driving in marked lanes – Eric Hoffman, Maumee.
Driving on sidewalks – Eileen Faehnle, Perrysburg.
Speed – Thomas Sear, Perrysburg; Shelby Simon, Maumee.
A Mary Lou Court resident reported theft of his credit card.
On Coe Court, a man reported he had purchased tickets on Ebay that turned out to be fraudulent.
Theft of beer was reported at a gas station on West Boundary Street.
Accidents occurred:
Jan. 3
¥ at 25570 North Dixie Highway. A 2002 Pontiac Sunfire operated by Troy Schramm, Perrysburg, and a 2011
Kia Forte operated by Lois Glover-Flunder, Toledo, were reportedly involved in a collision. Due to
conflicting statements, fault could not be determined.
¥ at 225 W. S. Boundary St. Vehicles operated by Matthew Gonyer, Maumee, and Dennis Nagy, Perrysburg,
reportedly backed into each other while backing out of respective driveways. No citations were issued.

Jan. 3 citations:
Fictitious plates, rules for turns at intersections – Cory Cook, Perrysburg.
Speed – Robert Herrick Jr., Millbury; An Pham, Toledo; Ryan Pool, Maumee; Melani Reaume, Perrysburg;
Erica Slavin, Maumee; Richard Smith, Perrysburg.
Speed (school zone), no operator’s license – Amber Duren, Toledo.
A residence in the 400 block of Loyer Lane was reported to have been toilet-papered.
Winfield Vinson IV, Toledo, was arrested for OVI and cited for speed and drive within lanes.
Brick work around the clock tower at Levis Commons was reported to have been damaged.
Two bad checks were reported submitted to a business on Williams Road.
A damaged window was reported at the Bob Evans restaurant on Fremont Pike.

Expired registration – Stephen Chovanec, Perrysburg.
Maximum width – John Frysinger, Napoleon.
No operator’s license – Gregory Colbert, Perrysburg.
Speed – Gregory Boros, Perrysburg; Steven Butler, Perrysburg; Micah Hammond, Perrysburg; Ashley Hoerig,
Perrysburg; Diane Piatz, Delta.
Stopping for school buses – Bryan Hertzfeld, Whitehouse.
In the 1300 block of Running Brook Drive, a resident reported that someone had dumped pine trees in her
yard and put one of them on top of her daughter’s car. Rebecca Ruse, Holland, and Danielle Long,
Perrysburg, were each subsequently issued summonses for criminal mischief.
A caller reported hearing glass breaking at a residence in the 400 block of West Third Street. Officers
arrived on-scene and found numerous first-floor windows had been broken. Officers entered the residence
and found a male subject, later identified as Kenneth Steinline, Holland, inside. He was placed into
custody pending positive identification. The damaged windows appeared to have been broken from inside
the residence. Steinline was reportedly unable to explain the damage. He was found to be in possession
of drug paraphernalia and subsequently arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 4
¥ at North Dixie Highway and South Interstate 475. Gerard Hallett Jr., Maumee, was cited for assured
clear distance ahead after the Chevrolet box van truck he was operating struck a Honda Civic operated by
Carma Callender, Perrysburg.
In the 26000 block of North Dixie Highway, a Perrysburg woman reported that items were missing from her
purse.
Theft from a residence was reported in the 100 block of St. Martin’s Place.
An attempted burglary was reported in the 5100 block of Champlin Drive.
An item was reported taken from a mailbox in the 800 block of Elm Street.
Police and EMS were called to Perrysburg High School on the report of a possible overdose. A juvenile
female was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, and what appeared to be prescription medication in her
possession was taken by Perrysburg Police for identification. The report of the incident was forwarded
to the prosecutor.
On Jan. 5, Perrysburg Township Police received an anonymous call reporting a male subject with a gun near
Taco Bell in the area of Fremont Pike and Helen Drive. Perrysburg Police were asked to check the Kroger
shopping plaza because of Taco Bell’s proximity to Perrysburg’s jurisdiction. No further description of
the subject was provided. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.
Katina Holland, Perrysburg, on Jan. 5 was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence-refusal,
and cited for drive on closed road and drive within lanes.
