STATE PATROL
An accident occurred:
Dec. 28

at Interstate 75 southbound just south of Ohio 582. Carol
Hampton, Clare, Mich., was cited for operating a vehicle without
reasonable control following an accident in which the 2005 Buick LeSabre
she was driving struck a guardrail and a bridge abutment. She reported
possible injury, but was not transported to a hospital. Her passenger,
Forest Hampton, also of Clare, reported non-incapicating injury and also
was not transported from the scene.
SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Accidents occurred:
Dec. 28

at Luckey Road and Sugar Ridge Road. Ryan Hamen, Temperance,
Mich., was cited for right of way from a stop sign after the 2001
Chevrolet Impala he was driving was struck by a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
driven by Eric Grover, Pemberville. Neither driver, nor Hamen’s
passenger, reported injury.

at Ohio 281, a quarter-mile east of Emerson Road in Montgomery
Township. A 1997 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Yaritza Ortiz, Bettsville,
reportedly hit a snow drift and slid on the snow-covered roadway, went
off the right side of the road and struck a tree. She reported possible
injury but was not taken to a hospital. Her juvenile passenger did not
report injury.
Theft of an air conditioning unit was reported at Rita’s Dairy Bar on Front Street, Grand Rapids.
Monica Arana, Fostoria, was arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor assault out of Seneca County.
On Dec. 29, in Fostoria, a woman advised she was receiving harassing phone messages from another woman.

Dec. 29 incidents:
In the 4000 block of Hall Road, Fostoria, a man reported the theft of a
three-point hook-up blade and 12-shovel cultivator for a tractor.
On Chamberlain Road, a man advised he received a scam phone call requesting money.
In rural Bowling Green, a woman reported repeated phone calls from a male subject.
An unruly 10-year-old boy was reported walking up and down the street on Corey Road, Cygnet.
