Blood drive in honor of Cheryl Wells will be Tuesday at Toledo facility

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in memory of former area resident Cheryl Hart Wells
Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Toledo Blood Donor Center at 3510 Executive Parkway.
Wells, formerly from Perrysburg, was diagnosed with cancer in 2004 and received eight units of blood
during her course of treatment, which helped improve the quality of her life during her last months.
The transfusions made it possible for Wells to attend important events and family gatherings. Before her
death, she asked for a blood drive to be held to replenish the blood she received and to help other
patients in need.
Wells attended Perrysburg Junior High and High School and graduated from Owens Community College. In 1990
she married her husband, Ken, and the couple had three sons together.
