Play dates return to Wayne Library
WAYNE – Wee Folks Play Dates for children 12 months to 3 years (with parent or caregiver) will resume on
Friday at 10:15 a.m. in the Wayne Public Library community room, and will continue every Friday morning
through Feb. 11.
Registration is not required.
Troy Township meeting is Wed.
LUCKEY – The Troy Township re-organizational meeting will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the fire hall, 311
Krotzer Ave., Luckey.
NFL referee is Rotary speaker
Gary Arthur, NFL Line Judge #108, will once again regale Bowling Green Rotary members with the action on
the sidelines when the club meets Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Park district has seed cleaning
The Wood County Park District will hold a Seed Cleaning Marathon on Thursday starting at 10 a.m. and
continuing until finished at the Reuthinger Preserve.
The district will provide munchies throughout the day including some special items around lunch time.
All are welcome.
Blood drive in Pemberville
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran
Church, 220 Cedar St., Pemberville.
Woman reports possible predator
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, a resident in the 21000 block of Pargillis Road reported
Saturday night that her 10-year-old daughter was online, and that a male was continually attempting to
contact her through the telephone service Skype.
Euchre event is Saturday
WALBRIDGE – Walbridge VFW will host a euchre tournament on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
There is a $10 entry fee that includes lunch.
First, second and third place finishers will receive cash prizes; fourth place receives free entry into
the next tournament.
The event is sponsored by VFW Post N0. 0063 men’s auxiliary. The post is located at 109 N. Main St.

Two drivers injured in Dec. 28 Ohio 795 crash
Two drivers received minor injuries in a crash Dec. 28 at the intersection of Ohio 795 and Pemberville
Road.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 8:48 a.m. when a subcompact driven by
Allan Hagemann, 21, Grand Rapids, headed eastbound on Ohio 795 struck a sedan operated by Dorothy Kutz,
62, Toledo, which was southbound on Pemberville Road.
Kutz had stopped at the stop sign, then pulled out and was struck in the side by Hagemann’s vehicle. Kutz
was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Police say both had possible injuries, but neither required transport.
