Way Library will screen ‘Picture of Dorian Gray’
PERRYSBURG — “The Picture of Dorian Gray” will be shown Thursday at 10
a.m. at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave., as part of its Reel
Talk series.
The 1945 film based on the Oscar Wilde novel stars Hurd Hatfield along
with Angela Lansbury, George Sanders, Donna Reed and Peter Lawford.
Lansbury was nominated for an Oscar as best supporting actress for her role.
The library’s monthly book discussion is reading the novel during January to coincide with the film’s
screening.
The novel tells of a man who mysteriously keeps his youthful image.
Sig Humanski, a retired humanities and English teacher, will lead the discussion. Refreshments will be
served.

Toledo Rep casting ‘Inventing Van Gogh’
TOLEDO — The Toledo Rep will hold auditions for “Inventing Van Gogh” by
Steven Dietz Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Tenth Street Stage, 16 10th St..
Directed by Barbara Barkan, the play will be staged weekends April 15 though May 1.
