Master Alpha Zeta
Ten members of the Beta Sigma Phi chapter met Nov. 5 at the home of Mary Tonjes. They answered roll call
by naming a favorite drink. President Colleen Smith gave information about when and where the pins
should be worn.
Betty Goodman took names of members planning to attend the Nov. 14 Victorian Tea. Each member is to bring
a school picture to share. The tea runs from 1 to 3 p.m.
Nancy Germann passed out invitations to the Christmas party. It will be held Dec. 4 at Bowling Green
Country Club. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Germann will take a count at the next meeting.
The service committee announced that they wish money to be sent to First Step for Thanksgiving. Ideas
were also mentioned for closer to Christmas time. The committee will discuss these suggestions and
decide later.
Tonjes presented the program, "Herb Gardens and their Use." She passed around five different
herbs for the group to figure out the name of each, then told each herb’s use.
Tonjes served both pumpkin and apple dessert. Social hour followed.
The next business meeting will be Nov. 19 at the home of Mary Ann Book. The program will be "PEI
Bottle House."
