Bernard William "Bernie" Heineman
Aug. 5, 1950 – Oct. 23, 2009
Bernie will be remembered as a hard-working free spirit who loved his son, William; girlfriend, Mary Lou;
friends from school days; best friend, Don Butler; loving brothers and sisters and parents and
grandfather, Norman, with whom he shared his birthday.
He loved his family’s history, Cleveland Indians, playing golf, boating and fishing and hanging out with
friends at Bell Mell.
Bernie graduated from Port Clinton High School. He was a tanker transport driver for Beck Suppliers;
Heineman Distributing.
He was a member of Port Clinton Elks Lodge.
Bernie is survived by Mary Lou Traxler and son, William; parents, Harry and Mary Heineman; brothers and
sisters, Norm (Kathy) Heineman, Zauzi Travis, Phillip (Carol) Heineman, Monica Heineman, Cecelia (Dale)
Farmer, Steve (Evelyn) Heineman, Otto (Christine) Heineman, Ida (John) Larsen, Tom (Luciana) Heineman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Adelaide.
