Custar American Legion Unit 305
CUSTAR – Eleven members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 305 were present for the October meeting. Two
new members, Jan Cavanaugh and Brenda Wagner, were welcomed.
President Marie Wensink led the business meeting. Both the secretary and treasurer were absent due to
illness.
Members made 25 fleece blankets for our veterans. The unit agreed to give Beth and Jessica Nagel $100 to
buy more fleece for the group’s continuing project and Wensink thanked everyone for their help.
Deb Feehan asked for help with the Nov. 7 bloodmobile between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., as well as donations of
cookies, pies or muffins for the workers. Call Debbie or Bob Feehan for more information. Marie and Barb
Cham-berlain will shop to fill ditty bags for the veterans.
The Veterans Day potluck supper will be held Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. The Buckeye Boy and Girls State
representatives will report their experiences from this past summer. Also, Jenny Feehan will talk about
the Honor Flight experience with her uncle Harold Johanna.
Custar legion Christmas supper is Dec. 18.
