Church to hold bazaar Sat.
RISINGSUN – The First Church of God, 7968 U.S. Route 23 in Risingsun is hosting a bazaar on Saturday,
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Quality craft items, Rada Cutlery and baked goods as well as a 2007 published "Feeding The
Flock" church cookbook will be for sale.
In addition, there will be outside vendors, including Celebrating Home, Mary Kay, Avon, Tupperware,
Watkins, and Sadie’s Pet Boutique will have items for sale. Also available will be hand-crafted purses,
hand-crafted rugs and hand crafted jewelry.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with your choice of homemade soup, sandwiches, cakes and
pies.
Also available will be free blood pressure checks. Fostoria Hospital, Pro-Medica Health System will be
offering flu and pneumonia vaccines from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a fee. Medicare can be billed.
Harvest dinner planned
BRADNER – On Nov. 14, Bradner United Methodist Church will host its annual "Harvest Dinner: from
4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the church basement. Carry-outs will be available beginning at 4 p.m. until 4:30
p.m.
The cost for adults is $6.50 in advance and $7 at the door. Children age 3-12 are $4.
The home-cooked meal includes turkey, chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, yams, dressing, noodles, baked
beans, green beans, corn, salads, relish, homemade pie and beverage.

Bazaar in Stony Ridge
STONY RIDGE – The Ridge Top Circle will be hosting its annual bazaar Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
Stony Ridge United Methodist Church, 5542 Fremont Pike.
Lunch will be served.
Among the items offered will be homemade noodles, pies and more.
Fundraiser in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS – The Young at Heart of Calvary United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids will host its annual
all-day fundraiser on Nov. 14 at the church located on West Third Street.
The bake sale, bazaar and silent auction bidding will begin at 9 a.m. Silent auction items include
crafts, fall and Christmas items and more. This year’s bazaar features also features fall and holiday
decorations as well as other unique items ready for gift-giving.
Lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m. A chicken dinner, priced at $7, will be served beginning at 5
p.m.
Successful bidders for the silent auction items will be announced during dinner.
Mission dinner set
PORTAGE – Christ United Methodist Church in Portage will hold its "Mission Dinner" on Saturday
beginning at noon until sold out.
The menu includes stuffed manicotti, salad, garlic bread and dessert. The dinner is put on by the youth
of the church. The cost is a freewill donation with all fund going toward United Methodist Missions.
The public is invited.
Church offers holiday greens
MILLBURY – St. Peter’s Church, Millbury is again selling Christmas greens for the holiday season. The
fresh cut pine greens come in blankets and pillows for cemeteries and wreaths and swags for other
decorating. Prices range from $12 to $38, and come decorated in a variety of colors and styles.
Orders are being taken through Nov. 23 by calling (419) 836-9074.
Proceeds from the sale will go to support the church’s building program.
Soup and salad lunch offered
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in
the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit the Lutheran Association for
Missionary Pilots and the Bowling Green food pantry. The menu includes chili and potato soup, hot dog
and chicken sandwiches, along with a variety of salads and desserts.
Baked steak supper next week
McCLURE – The McClure United Methodist Church will have a baked steak supper next Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
in the church fellowship hall. The menu features baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, Harvard beets,
corn, green beans, tossed salad, rolls, beverage and a variety of pies and cakes. Carry-outs are
available. The church is located on Ohio 65, just south of U.S. Route 6.
Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG – CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, sponsored by First United Methodist Church in
Perrysburg, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next meeting to be held Tuesday at Abundant
Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month
from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge for miscellaneous expenses.
On Tuesday the 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Rev. Dennis Ditto of Grace United Methodist Church.
Lunch is served at noon, provided by Perrysburg Care and Rehab.
The program which follows will be card making with Sam Carr and an exhibit of Jenny Sorgenfrel’s dolls.

Movies being shown
Wood County Baptist Church, 14161 Dirlam Road, will hold its bi-weekly "Movie Night" next
Friday at 7 p.m.
Organizers plan a night of entertainment, snacks and refreshments. This is free and open to the public.

The Nov. 13 movie will be "Captains Courageous" starring Spencer Tracy and Lionel Barrymore.

Those attending are invited to bring their own favorite chair or bean bag.
