County Dems meet Tuesday
The Wood County Democrats will be watching election returns at the Clazel in downtown Bowling Green on
Election Night starting at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Penta nets ‘green’ grant
Current and future Penta Career Center students can explore green energy management with help from an
$18,705 environmental education grant from Ohio EPA. Ten grants were awarded statewide for a total of
$350,000.
The grant will provide equipment and materials for 11th and 12th grade students to explore solar, wind,
hydro, geothermal, biomass, biofuels and fuel cell energy technology.
It also will support a week-long summer day camp in 2010 and 2011 to encourage 100 students in seventh
through ninth grades to pursue careers in green energy.
Harley art show in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – Signature Harley-Davidson in Perrysburg will host a motorcycle-themed art show Thursday from
5 to 8 p.m.
Photography artists Doug Grosjean and Bill Heban will be displaying their award-winning work.
World-renowned air brush artist, Pamela Shanteau, will have a selection of her work. Guests will have a
chance to talk with each artist at the show. Ace Products, a Harley-Davidson themed home furnishings
company, will have a display of artwork also.
The event is free to the public.
