To the Editor: BG man can’t afford to give city a raise

0

The city of Bowling Green needs to increase its income. Many Bowling Green residents need to have their
incomes increased as well.
The city is asking the residents for an .08% raise. Since I/we are their boss, I say no, I can’t afford
to give you a raise at this time!
When the average BG resident goes to their boss and asks for a raise, they get the same answer, but in
some cases with a twist! "I am cutting your wage 15%".
The city should do like BG residents now have to do, which is cut their spending! Is it painful? At first
yes it is, but that is the prudent thing to do!
Vote no on the "temporary" tax and make government live within their income. You have to!
