BG men’s, women’s basketball set for television games
Bowling Green’s men’s basketball team has three television games scheduled this season and the BG women’s
team has two. The television schedule is subject to change.
The men’s game at Xavier on Nov. 17 will be televised on Fox Sports Net Ohio. The Nov. 20 at Iowa will be
televised on the Big Ten Network. The Akron at Bowling Green game on Feb. 27 will be Fox Sports Net
Ohio.
For the women, the BG at Ball State game on Feb. 6 and the Kent State at BG game on Feb. 27 will both be
televised on Fox Sports Net Ohio.
BG women’s soccer loses
TOLEDO – Bowling Green’s women’s soccer team fell to Toledo, 1-0, in a Mid-American Conference match
Thursday. The Falcons are 5-12-3 overall and 1-7-3 in the MAC. Toledo is 10-6-3, 6-3-2.
The Rockets scored their goal in the 83rd minute of the game. BG’s Laura Arnold made five saves.
Owens volleyball wins
Owens Community College’s volleyball team defeated Lorain CC, 25-10, 25-10, 25-20 Wednesday. Owens is
30-17 overall and 9-2 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference.
Owens’ leaders were: Maureen Kurtz, 11 kills, two aces; Lauren Lind, from Lake High School, nine kills;
Leigha Paulson, 34 assists; and Amanda Drew, nine digs.
Owens men’s soccer competes
PARMA – The Owens Community College men’s soccer team competes in the NCJAA Region XII championship this
weekend at Cuyahoga CC.
Owens is 12-6-1 overall and faces Schoolcraft College (13-1-1) at 2 p.m. Saturday in the four-team single
elimination tournament.
BGSU men’s soccer changes start time
The starting time for Saturday’s Bowling Green State University men’s soccer game against Northern
Illinois University has been changed to 1 p.m.
The game will be the men’s soccer program’s PINK OUT match, in support of breast cancer awareness. All
fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match.
The Falcons will be wearing special pink Falcons T-shirts during pre-game warm-ups. Fans will have the
opportunity to purchase the same T-shirts at the game, with $1 from each T-shirt sold going toward the
local branch of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
NWOCRA plans awards banquet
RIDGEVILLE CORNERS – The annual Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association awards banquet is Nov. 21
starting at 6 p.m. at the Adams American Legion Post. The cost is $15.
Sassey Sauterelle, trained by John Konesky III of Pemberville; Randy’s Girl, trained by Dan Venier of
Pemberville and Magic Ball, owned by Ben Ott of Luckey are among the honorees.

Owens women’s hoops opens
Owens Community College’s women’s basketball team opens its season on Monday with a home game against
Mott Community College. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
Demi Moschetti, from Perrysburg High School, is a 6-foot center/forward for the Express.
