BGSU volleyball wins
MUNCIE, Ind. — Aided by 35 total kills from Corey Domek and Shari Luther, Bowling Green rallied for a
five-set victory over Ball State Friday.
The Falcons won the final three sets to gain the victory, 25-27, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-9. BG is 9-15
overall and 2-7 in Mid-American Conference. Ball State is 10-12, 3-6.
BG’s leaders were: Domek, 19 kills, 15 digs; Luther, 16 kills, six blocks; Allison Kearney, 39 assists,
two aces; and Alex Zlabis, 12 digs.
CMU edges BG women’s soccer
MOUNT PLEASANT. Mich. — Mid-American Conference-leading Central Michigan scored in the first half and the
Chippewas’ defense made the goal stand up in a 1-0 victory over Bowling Green’s women’s soccer team
Friday.
CMU is 14-3 overall and 9-0 in the MAC. BG is 5-10-3, 1-5-3.
The Falcons managed only one shot on goal.
BG’s Alexa Arsenault made two saves.
BG’s Stone honored
Bowling Green’s men’s basketball assistant coach LaMonta Stone has been named the fourth-best mid-major
assistant coach in the country by HoopScoop.
Clark Francis, editor and publisher of HoopScoopOnline.com, rates coaches in a variety of categories and
Stone was the top MAC assistant coach among mid-major schools.
Earlier this year, College Insider named Stone as the No. 15 mid-major assistant coach.
Royal youth wrestling registration set
JERRY CITY — Registration is Nov. 3 and Nov. 5 for Royal Youth Wrestling for grades K-6.
The times will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in the high school wrestling room located in the Elmwood Community
Center.
