Nancy Boggs

Nancy L. Boggs, 62, of Liberty Center, passed away Sunday morning, October 11, 2009 at her home with her
loving family by her side.
Nancy was born July 17, 1947 in Lucas County to the late Clyde and Gladys (Meister) Box. She married
Kenneth H. Boggs on February 12, 1966 in Adrian, Michigan and he survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Tina Workman, Napoleon, Teresa Boggs and Tracy (Steven) Hall, both of
Liberty Center; a son, Harold (Tracy) Boggs, Toledo; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Waldo (April) Box, Florida and Darwin "Butch" (Mary) Box, Liberty Center; and two
sisters, Christie Smith, Liberty Center, and Irene (Dave) Jacobs, Arizona.
A graduate of Grand Rapids High School, Nancy was a homemaker.
She had previously been employed with Whitehouse Country Manor, Emro Propane in Neapolis, and Country
View Haven in Napoleon.
She enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and bird-watching. She also liked doing crafts and bowling in
her Monday Swanton league. Nancy was an animal lover, and was especially fond of horses.
She was a former zoning board member in Washington Township.
Nancy will be most remembered by her family for her selfless and giving nature and for the courage she
displayed throughout her illness.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Grand Rapids. Services
will be private.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, an organization of which Nancy greatly supported.
