Eastwood’s volleyball team stayed perfect in the Suburban Lakes League by sweeping Genoa at home on
Tuesday, 25-17, 25-19, 25-15.
The Eagles are 13-1 overall and 8-0 in the SLL. Eastwood is ranked 18th in the Division II state poll.

Leaders for Eastwood were: Vicky Bruning, 13 kills; Courtney Rolf, 10 kills, three blocks; Christine
Foster, 12 digs; Katie Primeau, 30 assists; and Whitney Hoodlebrink, six kills.
Otsego downs Woodmore
In Tontogany, Otsego improved to 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the SLL with a 25-13, 25-20, 25-11 win over
Woodmore.
Otsego’s leaders were: Katelyn Downing, 10 digs, three aces; Chelsea Bollenbacher, 10 kills; Ashley
Holzwart and Hannah Greulich, six kills each; Karessia Rowell, seven kills; and Autumn Berry, 30
assists.
Elmwood sweeps Lake
At Millbury, Elmwood won the SLL match, 29-27, 28-26, 25-21. Elmwood is 5-9 overall and 3-5 in the SLL.

Elmwood’s leaders were: Amanda Peters, 16 kills, five blocks, eight digs; Vanessa Schwind, six kills, six
digs, five aces; Marie Lee, eight kills, two blocks; LeeAnn Irwin, 40 assists, 12 digs, three blocks;
Sam Pollard, 15 digs; Sam Auchmuty, 10 digs; Kylie Snowden and Katie Bradford, eight digs each.
BGHS wins again
In Sylvania, Bowling Green defeated Northview, 25-16, 25-16, 25-19 in a Northern Lakes League match
Tuesday. BG is 12-2 overall and 9-0 in the NLL.
BG’s leaders were: Ashley Dunn, 11 kills, 12 digs; Jordan Dunn, 29 assists, seven digs; Jordan Garza, 24
digs, three aces; and Chelsea Watson, eight kills.
Lakota sweeps St. Joe
At Kansas, the Raiders won the Midland Athletic League match with Fremont St. Joseph, 25-20, 25-22,
25-17. Lakota is 11-3 overall and 4-2 in the MAL.
Leaders for Lakota were: Amy Gosche, 12 kills, 12 digs, four aces; Jessica Hoffman, 12 kills, 10 digs;
and Emily Hagen, 20 assists.
St. Wendelin downs NB
In Fostoria, Fostoria St. Wendelin defeated North Baltimore, 25-9, 27-25, 25-13 in an MAL match.
NB’s leaders were: Megan Grilliot, 10 digs; Mackenzie Carpenter, 10 digs, three assists; Ashley Miller,
four aces; and Chelsey Woodruff, 10 digs.
BOYS SOCCER
Perrysburg 7, Maumee 0
At Maumee, Perrysburg’s Nate Smith scored three times and Shane McGee added a goal and two assists as the
Yellow Jackets won the NLL match. Perrysburg is 9-3 overall and 5-0 in the NLL.
Other leaders for the ‘Jackets were: Anthony Dangelo, two goals; Alec Smith, goal; James Roberts and Ian
Jacobs, two assists each; and Alex Szablewski, assist. Jeremy Ashley made two saves.
Northview 3, Rossford 0
At Sylvania, Rossford was shut out in the NLL match. The Bulldogs are 7-2-3, 2-2-1.
Andrew McFarland made nine saves for Rossford.
BGHS 4, Springfield 0
In Holland, Max Beattie scored three times as Bowling Green improved to 2-1-2 in the NLL and 4-3-4
overall. Patrick Iffland also scored for the Bobcats while Will Hess and Patrick Scholl had assists.
Hess finished with 10 saves, including one on a penalty kick.

Eastwood tops Rossford
At Detwiler, the Eagles won the non-league dual match, 163-181. Eastwood finished the regular season with
a 6-2 record in dual matches.

BOYS GOLF
Eight teams competed in the Bulldog Finale at Crosswinds Golf Club. Anthony Wayne won the eight-team
event with a 173. Bowling Green was second at 174, Perrysburg was fourth and Rossford was eighth.
John Hollister of Bowling Green and Nick Smith of Anthony Wayne were the co-medalists each with a 41.
Eastwood was fourth (185), Lake fifth (190), and Otsego sixth (210) at the Gibsonburg Invitational. Genoa
was first with a 162. John Krock led Eastwood with a 42; Ben Winne led Lake with a 45; and Kevin Vollmar
led Otsego with a 45.
