Football season is the start of a long high school sports season for our photo staff. Starting the season out in late August can bring an array of weather patterns. Friday, September 4th, was one of those special summer nights that most photographers love. Clear skies, a full moon, and a beautiful sunset made for a fun night shooting games in our area. Andrew Weber headed out to Lakota. Most photogs hate the long drive, but the effort paid off after he made some really nice images of players warming up as the sun dropped behind the horizon. Aaron Carpenter was assigned to cover Perrysburg playing at BGSU’s Doyt Perry Stadium. Aaron was not as lucky. The tall stadium blocked most of his warm evening sun which created a cool cast to the evening. But he did manage to capture one moment before the stadium blocked the sun. And for me, as the first half drew to a conclusion, I was struck by the brightness of the moon hanging high over the stadium. (Photo by: Andrew Weber/ Sentinel-Tribune) SEE MORE PHOTOS |
