Two planning hearings slated
Bowling Green’s Planning Commission has scheduled two public hearing for its meeting Wednesday night.
The first deals with a proposal to add language regarding rain gardens to the zoning ordinance.
The second revises several sections of the zoning code regarding storm water management.
The commission meets at 7:30 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St.
PERS group meets Thursday
Public Employee retirees will meet Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Wood County Senior Center in Bowling Green.

Poe-Main work scheduled Wed.
One lane travel on North Main Street at Poe Road will likely cause traffic delays Wednesday.
The work will begin at approximately 9 a.m. and involves the BG Public works Department painting stop
bars and crosswalks.
Tontogany council sets two Sept. meetings
Tontogany Village Council will meet on Sept. 14 and 21 at 7 p.m.
The change is due to the Labor Day holiday.
Corrections center earns accreditation
The NorthWest Community Corrections Center in Bowling Green has earned accreditation from the Commission
on Accreditation for Corrections.
In presenting the award, Lannette Linthicum, chairperson of the CAC, and Harold Clarke, president of the
American Correctional Association, complimented the facility on its professional level of operation and
its success in completing the accreditation process.
The accreditation standards were developed by national leaders from the field of corrections, law,
architecture, health care, and other groups interested in sound correctional management.
During the three-year accreditation award period, state will work to improve any deficiencies identified
during the audit and maintain continuous compliance with the standards.
NORTH BALTIMORE – The St. Vincent dePaul Thrift Store in North Baltimore is closed Wednesday through
Tuesday.
Regular hours resume at 10 a.m. Sept. 9.
