BGSU volleyball wins twice
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Bowling Green’s volleyball team opened its season with two wins in the
Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational Friday.
In its opener, BG downed Loyola (Md.) 25-14, 25-18, 29-27. BG’s leaders were: Kaitlin Jackson, 16 kills,
10 digs; Allison Kearney, 39 assists; Sari Luther, 13 kills, five block assists; Lauren Mizgalski, 10
kills; and Cassie Berning, 10 digs.
In the second match, the Falcons downed Robert Morris, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-15. BG’s leaders were:
Emily Kauth, 11 kills; Corey Domek, 17 kills; Jackson, 10 digs; Kearney, 52 assists, 12 digs; Luther, 11
kills; and Alex Zlabis, 18 digs.
Falcon women’s soccer wins
Bowling Green’s women’s soccer team downed Indiana State in its home opener Friday. The Falcons are 1-1
overall.
Alyssa Zuccaro scored BG’s first goal and then assisted on Megan Amann’s score. Laura Arnold played the
first half in goal for the Falcons, making two saves, and Becca Ison played the second half allowing one
goal and making six saves.
Reimold goes 1-for-3
BALTIMORE — Former Bowling Green State University standout Nolan Reimold was 1-for-3 with two runs scored
and recorded his eighth stolen base in Baltimore’s 13-4 win over Cleveland Friday.
Middle school cross country state championships set
Registration is open for the third annual Ohio Middle School Cross Country State Championships. The event
is at Groveport Madison High School on Oct. 25.
