Recently, senior football players from Northwest Ohio were selected to play in the Black and Gold All
Star game held at Whitmer High School and sponsored by Perrysburg Athletics. For the halftime
entertainment, majorettes from Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan came together to learn a routine and
strut their stuff on the football field. Majorettes from all over the area were invited, and seven
schools were represented with 14 different majorettes performing. Local schools that were represented
were: Alexis Abraham, Eastwood majorette; Ashlee Banas, feature twirler for St. John?s High School?
Jayna Kubuske, feature twirler for Lake High School; Hannah Williamson, Julianna Cullum, and Kedryn
Marquart, Perrysburg majorettes; and Taylor France and Adrian McKinney, Maumee majorettes. The
instructor for this All-Star halftime show was the Perrysburg majorette adviser and coach for the
Perrysburg Twirling Sophisticates, Andrea Whiting.
