Location changed for Elmore Sunday event
ELMORE – The location for the Dixieland worship service for Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore,
Sunday, has been changed to be held at the church, located on Woodville Road, a mile north of Elmore at
Witty Road.
Immediately following worship, there will be a potluck picnic and games for all ages.
CedarCreek service added at Luckey’s church
LUCKEY – Zion United Methodist Church in Luckey is adding a second service beginning Aug. 15 at 5 p.m.
The weekly Saturday service will be a service provided by CedarCreek Church, Perrysburg.
Monthly worship and healing service planned
PERRYSBURG – Vineyard Church of Toledo, 210 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, will hold its monthly
"Worship and Healing Night" on Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.
Area churches in the Toledo area will join together for a time of extended worship followed by a prayer
for the sick and ministry for those who are looking for a touch from God.
The public is invited.
Financial course offered
First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road, will host the Financial Peace University, a 13-week program
taught by Dave Ramsey. The classes begin Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Each participant must purchase a kit, which includes a lifetime membership to FPU.

Walbridge hosts Bible school
WALBRIDGE – The "All Aboard" Vacation Bible School at Grace Bible Baptist Church, Walbridge
will be hosting its classes next Tuesday through Friday using the theme "Gone Fishing."
Located at 116 East Union St., Walbridge, the church offers a variety of activities to teach the youth
about becoming "fishers of men." Activities planned include a hayride, moonwalk and dunk tank.
There will also be a skit teaching good morals.
There is no charge and the classes will run from 6 to 8 p.m. nightly. For more information or if a ride

Church at Cherry’s returns
PEMBERVILLE – The next session of "Church at Cherry’s" will be held Tuesday at Cherry’s Pub,
211 E. Front St., Pemberville.
The focus will be "The Way, the Truth and the Life?" Leaders will focus on the relationship of
Christianity to other religions.
The public is invited.
Senior CSI event set
PERRYSBURG – CSI, Christian Seniors Interacting, invite all seniors in the area to attend its next
meeting to be held Tuesday at Abundant Life No. 2, 200 Zoar Drive, Perrysburg. The event is held the
second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The program is sponsored by First United Methodist church of Perrysburg. There is a $3 charge for
miscellaneous expenses.
On Tuesday the 11:30 a.m. Bible study will be led by Pastor Chuck Campbell of Lutheran Church of the
Master. Lunch is served at noon, provided by Rite Aid, Meijer’s and Kroger’s.
The program which follows will be Ways to Participate in Green America," with Amanda Gambi.

Movies being shown
Wood County Baptist Church, 14161 Dirlam Road, will hold its bi-weekly "Movie Night" next
Friday at 7 p.m.
Organizers plan a night of entertainment, snacks and refreshments. The event is free and open to the
public.
The Aug. 14 movie will be "Saving Sarah Cain," from Believe Pictures.
Children’s movies are also shown.
Those attending are invited to bring their own favorite chair or bean bag.
Soup and salad lunch offered
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in
the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Donations will benefit the Lutheran Association for Missionary Pilots and the Danielle Boulis Fund.
The menu includes vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups, sloppy joe and chicken sandwiches, along with
a variety of salads and desserts.
