Historical center hosts war encampment
The Wood County Historical Center will host a Revolutionary War encampment on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6
p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
British, French, American and Native re-enactors will be camped on the grounds of the museum, located at
13660 County Home Road east of Bowling Green.
Battle demonstrations will be held on Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. Additional
demonstrations will be held throughout the weekend.
The event is free and open to the public.
The museum also will be open, with a $4 suggested donation.

Car show, wine competition at Tontogany Fest
TONTOGANY – There will be an antique car show as part of the Tontogany Festival on Aug. 15.
Registration for the cars is at 10 a.m.
The fest parade will start at 12:30 p.m.
Wine makers can enter their efforts in a homemade wine competition, also on Aug. 15. There are eight
categories. Complete rules for the event are available at Moser’s Village Carryout in the village.
Registration is Aug. 15 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the fire hall.
Fostoria library taking book donations
FOSTORIA – The Kaubisch Memorial Public Library is accepting donations for its semi-annual book sale.
Donations will be accepted until Aug. 15.
Any material donated should be clean and in good condition. Old textbooks, Reader’s Digest condensed
books, and soiled or mildewed items will not be accepted.
Money from the sale will be used to purchase new material for the library. The sale will run from Aug.
