Clough Street closed in BG
East Clough Street, between South Enterprise and South Summit streets, will be closed to through traffic
on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tree work.
Center Township Trustees set mtg.
Both regularly scheduled meetings of Center Township Trustees have been cancelled for August.
The trustees will instead meet Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Center Township Hall, 9986 Bowling Green Road
East.
Blood drive Saturday in BG
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First Christian
Church, 375 Haskins Road, Bowling Green.

GRAND RAPIDS – On Sunday, Mary Jane Thurston State Park will host a "Kings and Queens of the
Garden" program from 2 to 4 p.m.
Meet in the day use area for a monarch butterfly display. Live monarchs and caterpillars will be
available for viewing, weather permitting. Learn how you can attract these pollinators to your yard.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Hydrants flushed, tested in Weston
WESTON – The North-western Water and Sewer District’s Maintenance Department will be flushing and testing
fire hydrants beginning Monday in Weston.
The testing will be performed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day that week.
Residents may experience rusty water during this period and should run tap water prior to using water for
laundry purposes.
BG Community Center to close for maintenance
The Bowling Green Community Center will be closed Aug. 17-21 for routine yearly maintenance. The front
desk will remain open for business during the week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
