Steckler-Hathaway vows recited

Stephanie Kaye Steckler and Eric Scott Hathaway exchanged wedding vows June 6 at The Granary in the
historical village of New Harmony, Ind.
Fr. Ken Steckler, cousin of the bride, conducted the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Mary Steckler, Haubstadt, Ind. The groom is the son of Herb and
Lucille Hathaway, Stearns Road, Bloomdale.
A reception was held at the New Harmony Inn, New Harmony, Ind.
Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the newlyweds are making their home in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride is employed as director of the mobile museum outreach program for a children’s science center
in Charlotte. She graduated from Gibson Southern High School in Fort Branch, Ind., in 1995; earned a
bachelor’s degree in education in 1999 from Southern Indiana University and a master’s degree in
curriculum and instruction in 2001 from the University of Phoenix, Las Vegas.
The groom is supervisor for a landscape company in Charlotte. He graduated from Elmwood High School in
1991 and from North Carolina State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy with a
concentration in turf management.
